Our 34.5" is for Large dogs. I have a large one for my 13 yr old Akita girl and she LOVES it. It has non-skid pads on the bottom so it doesn't slide around while they are trying to lay down. Since there is no "bedding" material, bugs do not hang around long. This bed cleans and sanitizes easily. No big deal to do. Pet beds just do not get any better than this one.
